Don’t fret if you don’t see a masala dosa in any of these pictures. It’s because we didn’t have any. What me and my friend did do, however, was go into a tiny restaurant called Masala Dosa on Melton Road, Leicester, to have a light lunch (or more like early tea, since we traipsed in at around 3pm).

Medhu vadas with sambhar and chutney, chicken samosas and masala chips is what we finally ate – ‘light’? Not so much! Having not sampled any medhu vadas for a few months now, I felt as if I was back in Karama, sitting in one the many restaurants there, chomping away on south indian food. Ah the memories!
