I’ve been ridiculously silent since June – and if you have been a regular reader since the, you’ll know why I stopped. People have asked me if I miss blogging, and I answered seriously: “I don’t have time to miss it.” And it’s true, my full-time job keeps me happily busy.
Last week though, I attended the Food Blogger Connect roaming workshops in Dubai – just the one day that concentrated on writing, with Dianne Jacob. And I felt the urge to put pen to paper, or rather, fingers to keyboard, for my blogs again. I write a LOT in my full-time job, but it was recounting my experiences and weaving a tale with my memories and photos that I realised I haven’t done for a long time. I needed to get back to that.
So here I am, letting you know that I have started editing my photos from my trip to Sri Lanka in August (this photo is from my second-last day there in a little tea shop in the south of the island), have started writing the blog posts to accompany those photos, and will be digging deep into my memory vaults from my journeys, to tell you stories worth re-telling. I hope.
It’s like this blog went on a summer vacation like everyone else. But I’m back now, ready to talk about my food adventures again, just like the header of this website says!
Yay! So glad you’re getting back to your blog.
Thanks Dianne! I think the workshop gave me the kick I needed to get back on the blogging horse. Thank you for hosting that day, and being part of the reason of why I’m back 🙂
Welcome back to blogging! You were missed.
